Job Brief.

Our team is looking for a motivated Laborer to perform various manual tasks to prepare job sites and aid daily operations in support of our various construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. To succeed, you must ensure that you live by MEB's core values on the project every day and that quality, health, and safety standards on site are your top priority.

Core Areas of Responsibility.

• May clean out ditches and remove concrete forms. Perform manual labor.
• Assist, support, and follow the directions of skilled laborers.
• May assist in the erection and removal of falsework and formwork.
• May assist in the installation of underground utilities
• May assist in piping and equipment installation at industrial facilities, including water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and shipyards.
• May be required to carry and clean various materials as directed.
• May be required to shovel or rake materials.
• Must be safety-minded and adhere to all safety policies.
• Additional requirements as directed by the foreman/leadman.

Skills You Possess.

• Heavy Construction labor experience is preferred.
• Able to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.) for an 8 - 10-hour workday.
• The ability to comprehend and follow specific instructions.
• Interpersonal competencies include a drive for results, effective oral communication skills, organization, planning, trust, respect, dependable behavior, and cooperation.
• Good housekeeping standards and ability to observe safety procedures and report any potentially unsafe conditions to management.

Requirements.

• 18 years of Age
• Able to Pass a Drug Test
• Legally Eligible to Work in the US
• If assigned to a government project, US citizenship, and a clear background check may be required.

Additional Requirements for Craftworkers.

• Must have own transportation to and from job site every workday (driver's license not required)
• Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)
